This is a question about the McCann case but do you remember two days ago that there was enough EVIDENCE for a JUDGE in England to EXTEND the detention period for a further 12 hrs for questioning but that within hours Michael Barrymore was SUDDENLY allowed to go scot-free ("lack of evidence") ? When a case becomes too high profile and an embarasment, governments intervene and all involved will go free. THE MCCANN CASE ? Exactly, You just wait and see. The Portuguese High Court will decide there is lack of evidence, the McCanns will then be free to sell their story for millions !! -- PLEASE discuss. Thanks.

You are incorrect on three points. Firstly, the High Court did not decide to "let" Barrymore go scot-free. The Crown Prosecution Service decide there was not enough evidence to convict him and two others of murder. The prosection could not win, in other words. It would be a waste of court time, tax payers money and undue stress on the deceased's family to sit through and give evidence at a trial that could not be won.
Secondly, The English High Court simply has no jurisdiction in Portuguese law so a comparsion of English law (two completely different systems of law, i might add)with Portuguese law is of no relevance.
Thirdly, the CPS has on numerous occasions prosecuted several high profile cases successfully, including Jeffery Archer's perjury trial, a notoriously difficult area of law to prove. So your accuastion is completely unfounded.
One final point, your question is not at all clear, quite muddled in fact, and difficult to understand easily. Which is probably why you have such a poor response. i'm still not sure i have grasped it completely. puncuation and fewer capitals would help.

I don't think they would sell their story for millions. Just a hunch. I think people on here judge them without knowing them. It's shameful I think. Innocent until proven guilty remember and if there's not enough evidence, the case is dropped and they do sell their story for money, I would be very very surprised. Give them a chance.

It seems to me you are convinced the McCann's are guilty and it doesn't need to be proved. All I can say is - 'God help us' and whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty.
