The stopper in my bathroom sink is not working, so I removed it. Today, I dropped eyeliner down the drain, and I can't get it out. Any ideas on how to get it out? If I can't get it out, will it hurt anything being there?

Thanks,
Andrea

There is a P-trap in the drain pipe under your sink, get a large bowl to catch the water and just unscrew this trap, your eyeliner will be inside.

If you can see it you might just try a piece of bubble gum or duct tape or some such on a stick. I don't think eyeliner is that heavy and it will save you the trouble of disassembling the drain trap. If you do have to disassemble make sure you have a nice big bucket, you don't want to spill greywater all over your bathroom.

You can buy a long handled thing that has teeth or claws on the end (much like those things that kids play with to get toys and candy in those machines) to reach in and grab the eyeliner. If it goes down further it could get cross ways and then you would really have trouble.
I got my "catcher" at the dollar store and got another one that has a magnet on it.

Give the 10 to # 1. The task isn't such a difficult one, though you would be helped by having a decent size Lock Jaw Pliers. While you're at it, buy and add New compression washers the appropriate size before re-installing the trap.
