If she's your friend, don't... be a friend and like her for who she is. I'm sure she knows already that she's a geek... you can't make someone something they're not!
If she wants suggestions on how to dress or act differently, she will ask.
Why would you want to upset or embarass her if she is your friend? In time she will be glad she was a geek and that she concentrated at school!

You don't.
There's nothing wrong with being a little geeky. What does it matter to you or your friend, Annie?
What is it about your friend that makes her a geek? Does she work hard in school and get good grades? Does she like computers or video games? Is it comic books or anime? Science fiction? Star Wars? Harry Potter?
All of those intrests are more common that you think.
Not to be mean to you or Annie, but you need to accept your friend the way she is. I could see you being worried if she was doing something that could hurt her like dressing really slutty, doing drugs or drinking, but telling her a geek would only hurt her feelings and she shouldn't have to change her intrests to be friends with you.
And besides, there are a lot of guys out there that like geeky girls. They say a good cute geeky girl is hard to come by these days. And for a lot of us, GEEK is becoming a badge of honor.

Well that's really mean, and I hate to sound like a B---- but there is nothing wrong with being a geek. She will most likely go farther than you in life. I'm assuming you are either fashion obsessed and think that the only thing in life that matters is being popular, or you are just really shallow, possibly both. There's more to life than looking good and being a s!u+.

Well if you are her friend you wouldnt tell her she is a geek and just accept her for what she is. I'm sure she know's what she is anyway, whats wrong with being a geek anyway, i agree with the comment above a geek is better than a chav :0)

why would you want to upset your friend in this way? you may say your friend Annie asked this question but if you were any sort of friend you would have told Annie not to be so horrible, you allowed this question to stay on answers so you must be thinking it, with friends like you who needs enemy's! if you think anything of your friend you would remove this question, my little sister used my account to post a slur on someone and as soon as i found it i removed it and issued an apology to the person, you should be ashamed of yourself for letting this continue I hope your friend never finds out about this.

yep being a geek myself at school i wasnt short of the taunts. But if you're a real friend then you'll accept her weird hobbies and accept she's clever and can help you out on homework. if shes not into fashion or cool music you cant force her not to like star wars or to stop playing her computer games. a good friend will always be there for you despite their interests.

lol nicely in case you have been a real pal you wouldnt think of shes a geek so why are you acquaintances? in case you dont like her sufficient to care approximately her emotions and the reality shes a geek then purely decrease all touch together with her. in case you incredibly need to tell her then purely come out with it and have a combat together with her, pass away her feeling like **** if thats what you go with.

What's a Geek, and what's a Nerd?
I suppose that one/or both of these named types are more studious than the Greaser type. Help me along, as I am fumbling in the dark.
I myself would choose the more studious, smart type, as he might be more supportive and interesting than a fist-swinging, hair grease-dripping, beer-guzzling, foul-mouth macho person.
Now go and make your choice.

That's awful, how would you feel if your 'friend' criticised the way you are. So what if shes a 'geek' at least she is more likely to do well in life than end up a yob.

Don't tell her she's a geek. If there is something you don't like or think that it could be harmful for her, tell her that. Otherwise, you are just stereotyping her. No use in that.
