Our whole extended family have a budget.
We spend $20Aud per person including adults and kids, but my friends and I have a deal to only spend $10 for the kids.
And that even breaks the bank!!!! lol

My budget is so tight that the only gifts that I give is what I can make myself for them.
So needless to say, I have to work hard on figuring out what I am going to make and then work fast to get it made in time for Christmas. Here is 3 examples of what I have made in the last couple of years: Photo albums, doll air fresheners, and candle lamps. I have even gone as far a making a quilt a couple of times, but those only go to very special people.

I have always had a Christmas budget and I only buy for immediate family and refuse gifts from others not in the family. This insures they will not expect a gift from me.

i budget my gifts and it should meet the following criteria= reasonable price, usefulness and the looks. At times, I look through my stuffs what i bought before and decide to give it away as a present. Otherwise, I shop early especially when there's ongoing sale so i spread out my expenses and not lumped in one month. Otherwise, my savings depleted for that particular month

Yes. My husband and I get eachother one present each that doesn't cost any more than $100. My "well off" aunt gives us $200.00 to spend on our 3 kids. And crazy as this sounds, me, my mom, the same aunt, and my grandmom all go yard sale hunting all year for Christmas presents for eachother. We each get 10 gifts each. It's a lot of fun and you don't have to feel guilty about throwing out or giving away the previous years yard sale presents to good will. It saves tons of money to!

Both! haha
I budget to 15$ per person (I am 15 and I buy for friends and family, not everyone) But I end up spending over 20-30$ per person.

I try to budget. Last year I went alittle over board. This year I am going to spend no more than $20 a person for my extended family & friends. And no more then $200 each for my kids..... I hope I can stick to it.

Christmas shopping has been minimal for the last few years, unfortunately. I blame skyrocketing cost-of-living expenses, and being the only one in the house with a real income. :/
