What makes you happy can be different from what makes others happy. Happiness, like any emotion, comes about when your rule for being happy is satisfied. Some people will need the sun to be shining, the temperature to be 77 degrees, and the traffic seemingly to make way for them. Other people just need to be above ground. The more rules you have for having to be happy, the less chance there is that you will be. Many people are dissatisfied with life so are unhappy. I say you can be dissatisfied with life and still be happy. Just be happy doing something about it rather than miserable whilst doing nothing about it.
