This is what happens when a government gets too big and becomes too powerful, and yes, the liberals are to blame for that. Ask a Democrat how any social, political, or economic problem should be solved and their reply invariably starts with the phrase "The government should..." Our civil liberties are being eroded every day and it's NOT Dubya's fault. Every time we the people hand a problem to our government and say "Here, fix this" (as is the liberal way, since they don't believe in taking responsibility for yourself) we freely give away a little piece of our freedom, while at the same time giving the government a little more authority over the private citizen. March too far down that road and you eventually go past the point of no return where the government controls virtually every aspect of our lives.
You're right -- liberals have gone to great efforts to prevent any type of corporal punishment in schools, but I disagree with your assertion that doing so is fair. Why should teachers have to grit their teeth and put up with unruly students? Since when are the children the bosses? And how are children supposed to learn that their behavior is unacceptable if no one ever calls them on it? As for parents disciplining their children, the laws still allow it (as long as you're not beating the crap out of your kids) but parents refuse to do it because they're too busy keeping up with the Joneses or advancing their own selfish agendas instead of being responsible parents. And again, the liberals are to blame. They push the culture of instant gratification, no rules, no boundaries, if it feels good do it, and "it's all about me."
BOTTOM LINE: Yes, the world is going crazy, and it's going crazy because the so-called old-fashioned values of integrity, accountability, responsibility, and getting what you want by working hard and earning it are not being fostered in our youth or practiced by most adults. The liberals should be hanging their heads in shame because it's their complete and reckless disregard for any kind of moral or ethical values that made incidents like Columbine and WVU possible. And the situation will only get worse as long as we have bleeding-hearts that make excuses for every type of deviant behavior and refuse to punish those who step out of line.

I think that arming teachers in the schools is an outrageous idea. That is putting too much power in someone Else's hands. where is the checks and balances in whether or not the teacher is justified in shooting a student. We are working hard to keep guns out of the school and then we will turn around and give them to our teachers. I would be afraid that the guns would be used as a manipulative factor and that any one can twist the situation to push their own agenda, meaning that all a teacher has to do is justify why they decided to shoot a kid. They could just not get along with the individual and make up a reason to shoot them. This happens all of the time where senseless acts of violence happens for no reason at all. when children go to school they should feel safe as well as a parent feel safe for sending their child to school. There are too many dangers in having a gun around school children. what if one of them were to get a hold of it. I have no clue where this world it coming to, arming teachers is just ridiculous.

It doesn't do any good to blame any group for what is happening. How is that finding a solution to the problem? It's not. I think we need to look at the larger picture. More parents are working and spending more time at work or traveling. People tend to make poorer decisions when they are tired and overworked and stressed. I believe the solution rests with the government because only it can make all businesses equal in terms of responsibilities to their employees. Businesses must focus on tasks and not on times/days to be there that are arbitrary for a lot of people. We all bear a responsibility to our children and society at large. We are a part of it. I don't have my own children but I do have stepchildren. They are out of control and lack some discipline. They lack consequences of the choices they make. They never have to deal with them. It drives me nuts. We need to improve education and we need more of a dialogue between parents and teachers. It seems to be a problem of a lack of trust and of communication. (the right kind of communication, take pride and emotion out. focus on what is right for the children.) Children should be in control positions because they lack the tools to make intelligent and smart choices. They need guidance. Bullying needs to stop. I think we are not doing enough. I was bullied and the effects are for life. It is hard to recover from the abuse. It is always with you. It takes effort to discipline and teach a child. It takes time that a lot of people don't have time today. Aren't we all moving at 90mph an hour at least? Aren't you exhausted? I am. I cannot imagine having kids full-time in this day and age. But I know that I would be more responsible but not everyone thinks the way I do and that's a good thing but we need to work together for a solution. The blame game is pointless.

ah no edit little ones should not be homestead schooled, the country would have began out that way yet it grew to become right into a thoroughly diverse international the place everyone worked. there needs to be colleges right this moment and young little ones want extra perfect guidance if this united states of america is to get to any extent further perfect the college shootings are a effect of economics that have compelled a kinfolk environment to be absent considering the two mothers and dads could have a minimum of two jobs with a view to make any good residing in u . s .. This leaves education, discovering, and ethical values coming from what ever the youngsters are uncovered to (in many circumstances television) extremely of the mothers and dads. so the youngsters that are in those shootings, and adults whilst becoming up, are all a effect of mothers and dads not being waiting to be mothers and dads in exhibiting little ones in a thank you to be to blame and respectful.

The bad guys prefer unarmed victims!!.
When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.
Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!
**Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens.**
So you are against the private ownerships of gun! Do you believe in fire extinguishers? Why, you can always call the fire department!!
No Weapons Allowed
Criminals this is a defense free zone
All law abiding people have been disarmed for you

I am a conservative, and I favor allowing teachers to take the conceal-and -carry class, pass the background check, get the license and then bring their weapon to work.
That doesn't mean I want to blame "liberals" for the fact that the laws currently don't allow this.
Lots of people would oppose changing the law to allow teachers to carry.
Parents that freak out if little Suzie or Johnny gets a couple of swats with a paddle would probably have a heart attack if their teacher sudddenly was armed with a .357 magnum.
Lawmakers fear that a nutcase will slip past the screening process, threaten a kid who forgets his homework, and turn public opinion against conceal-and-carry laws.
Its probably a good idea--but one that will never come to pass.

I don't think liberal should be blame. Well, conservatives and liberals alike should be blame if they gets money and influences from the NRA's. Why we need guns for. Democracy should be a beacon of peace. We should be free from fear of any violence.
There is no punishments, corporal or not when there is no crimes committed.
When gun is out of the streets there should be no one will think of arming themselves. But then, someone goin to lose their business. But please don't blame it conservatives or liberals. Blame the politicians who got the money.

Well of course the Teachers would have to go through training and backround checks, just like anyone who gets a concealed carry permit in any state, which statistically speaking makes them the least likely to use a firearm unless they have to. I'm all for it,it is about time we as Americans reasserted our right to defend ourselves, whatever means necessary.

No, of course they can't be blamed.
The NRA, with their millions of dollars and HOURS lobbying congress to protect the easy availability of weapons in our general society are closer to blame than the much maligned liberals.
School shootings would not happen if guns were not readily accessible to adolescent human beings who haven't figured things out yet.
Please keep in mind the school shooting in Erfurt, Germany several years ago. Although a socialist leaning government, most Americans don't know that, although perceived as "liberal," Germany has an extremely conservative society, famously resistant to change.

the school systems screwed up when they took the bible out of the class! For today's kids to have respect for anyone or anything they need to first be taught about it at home (spanking their tails when they mess up) and then a follow up at school (again a spanking when they mess up) It's not a "stranger" spanking your child if you take the time to know the teacher and faculty at your child's school! I just hate it when people say that! It's your duty as a parent to work with your child's school to help you child turn out to be a responsible adult! As for teachers taking guns to class that is insane! What happens when a kid gets the gun and shoots up the school because he got a bad grade or someone teased them??? It really falls on parents of today not the governments efforts. Parents of today stick their kids in front of a TV or video game to teach them...think about it...how many cars now have TV sets in them??? How many games are geared at little kids now?? And how many kids watch violent shows on TV learning that evil deeds are cool??? As parents, and grandparents today it is up to us to stop the trend of violence in today's youth! Get back to church...to raising your kids the right ways, teaching kindness and being an example to your children if you want to change the way we are headed
