It can help the odor, but not the infection. When you douche it will temporally offset the pH balance in your Virgina. That will just make your infection worst, which may cause more odor. I know it's hard, but put off douching until it's gone.

No. Douching is in the vagina so it is different from the urinary tract, it won't make a difference.

Douching is recommended against by doctors because it interferes with the vagina's self-cleaning mechanism and can actually cause infections.

If you have a urinary tract infection, you should see your doctor (if you haven't already) and be on antibiotics. Drinking lots of water can also help.

No, it is an infection and possibly not an UTI. Douching will aggrevate whatever infection you have going on. It forces bacteria up into the urethra and that causes infection and will hinder the one you have.
Douching is never necessary at anytime for the vagina is self cleaning and we all have our own scent. We are not supposed to smell like flowers or baby powder. Soft soap, a gentle cleanser is all you need. Just wash it or the use of wipes is much safer for your feminine health than sprays or douching.

How lovely and refreshing to hear support for NOT douching! It is such a disturbing concept - forcing liquid scented with chemicals into your vagina to get rid of your natural odour! A healthy vagina doesn't have an unpleasant smell and if your partner who has a problem with your natural scent, then suggest he stick his nose in a bunch of flowers instead!
