Oh, so often. Have a lot of relatives and friends that speak Dutch, and I don't. At family gatherings they all talk in a combination of Dutch and English, and when they ask me a question, and I haven't been following the conversation, I just smile and nod (and hope that that was a correct response).
Get away with it most of the time.

No .. i don't ever really smile unless I have a reason to .. which isn't that often. A lot of people think there is something wrong with me. That kinda makes me smile.

Yes, all the time. And then somebody asks me what I think about what has just been said or done and I don't know how to answer and feel a right dork.
