There IS an influence, and I can prove it by your own experiences.
When a person listens to music, it touches the part in the brain that carries the emotions, I think it's called the Limbic, not 100% certain of that part. Anyway, when a song comes on the radio, or you put a song up on the stereo you like, you turn it up louder, don't you? You want MORE of it. There IS an effect. Certain songs will strike you in an off way, and that's why you only want to shut it off.
Music therapy can work, but I don't think they know much about it all yet.
Long term behavior, I doubt it. Behaviors are choices. Music touches emotions, feelings.

It can affect it, but just like other forms of suggestion or obsessions it will only amplify what already exists. For example, violence centered music would not make a person violent without that tendency being there. Similarly "worship" music will amplify the existing feelings of worship. But music will not cause a non-violent, happy person to suddenly become a raving lunatic. However, an immersion in a type of music and it's associated lifestyle will probably result in a change.
The point is music can touch our emotions temporarily, but anything i.e. music, games, can become an obsession were that is the primary motivating and guiding force in a person.

it can have SOME effect.... like when I need some encouragement to do my workout, certain music helps (and makes me enjoy it more).
also the classical music they used to play at train stations to deter vandals made me want to smash the speakers.... and I've never been a vandal in my life! ha! well obviously I didn't do it, but it was really annoying having to listen to music I don't like. If I want music, I'll bring a walkman!
so I think it can vaguely influence behaviour but it can't turn someone into a murderer.

No, but I think a person's behavior determines the type of music of which a person is attracted.

No, otherwise I would have done some fairly anti-social things listening to heavy metal growing up.
