They are damned unlucky. The majority of people in the UK are too quick to judge and have too little compassion. We are all so perfect, and never make mistakes, right? I can see how witches were burnt at the stake in the middle ages.
Does anyone remember the case of Lindy Chamberlain who said her baby was taken away by a Dingo? Supposedly, the baby's blood was found on the seat of her car and Lindy was sentenced to life imprisonment. Three years later, her baby's matinee coat was found in a dingo's lair and she was given an absolute discharge.
So the McCanns accidently killed their child, quickly hid her in some roadworks, covered up their grief and went out for dinner, dug up her stinking corpse 4 weeks later, then dropped it off in an unmarked grave on the way to the airport to fly to Rome to meet with the Pope? They say truth is stranger than fiction, but I doubt it's that strange.
The most likely explanation (the common sense one) is what I would believe. ie The Portugese wanted rid of the McCanns and the implication that their country is home to a child abductor. So through either malice or incompetence or both they put together an inconclusive case to tarnish the McCanns and restore tourism. QED.

they are damned already, because they left their children alone and seem to have got away with it,neglect must only be what everyone else does ,I'm sorry to keep on about this but it is fact they left all 3 children alone, shame on them and social services if they do nothing about it ,poor Madeleine ,left for a meal, how can they look in a mirror and not feel sick to think what they did....

I think we should wait for the outcome of the Portuguese Authorities before we jump to conclusions. The long and short of it they should have never have left their children to go out on the lash! I think Leicestershire Social Services should investigate these people if charges are levied as this constitutes that the other children are vulnerable too.

.Well and this is not aimed at you but some social workers also leave a great deal to be desired.
Just look at the child abuse cases where Social Workers have failed in their duty to provide protection for children supposedly under their jurisdiction

Well at the end of the day they left their kids alone in the house in a foreign country..so yes, even if they are found innocent we shouldn't forget the fact that it was ultimately there fault anyway.
