How do you know they do at all? What's the compelling evidence leading you to believe that time is unfolding as you perceive it? Your senses? It's not necessarily the case, and the past and future could be the same. In either event, this much is sure. You start out dead, then you're alive, then you're dead. Living is in the middle.

that's not always the case some people die(not literally) first then live.
