I am sorry but can you give details to better explain this. Harry Truman was commander in cheif for World War II.

I watched that documentary yesterday about the last day of WWI. It mainly told of the few officers that for personal reasons had their units continue fighting after the armistice was signed (cease fire was to commence at 11:00 am). One told his troops to take a town because it had bathing facilities. He caused the deaths of more than 300 men. Anyhoo, they mentioned that in a letter to his then fiancee Truman (an artillery officer) said it was a shame they would not reach Germany and have the chance to cut off the hands and feet of their children and scalp the old men.
