Love was never meant to hurt. It's what's people do with the feelings of love or non-love that causes the hurt.
We keep on loving because it is engineered into us, but you can't control the actions of the person you love.
Pain is a symptom of something wrong, so if you're loving someone and are experiencing hurt, something about the relationship needs changing.

Animals don't love because they aren't clever enough to stop wanting or achieving to reproduce
On the other hand, not all people look forward to having children so they need a motive to stop avoiding reproduction. Love is this motive

because we enjoy love even if its painful.. like many other stupid things that we know is painful but cant help but keep exploring.. humans are social and emotional, and stupid.. but we cant help it..
