I'm a hardcore Republican...NAFTA was a joint effort among all the politico to line their pockets. It wasn't just Democrats. One of the things that will help is you don't see many Mexican State Troopers or DOT people, and they are union, too. Hopefully they will enforce the safety and logging rules strenuously.

What can I say about this comment. They always "...told..." you how to vote!!!!!

Sorry to say but that is typical for most union members I know. They will vote for whomever and whatever the union bosses say. Can't think for themselves.

But along the way, they didn't teach you to spell either. It's "Democrat" or "Democratic", not "Democrate".

But the neo-cons are just as bad. Nobody is permitted to think for themselves.

As to your original question, every Mexican truck and driver on US highways takes a job away from a Teamster and union dues out of the union bosses' pockets.

Simple..........

I agree, and I haven't them say anything about it. We should know that the Mexican truck drivers are going to take American jobs. The teamster union must be naive if they think that their members won't lose their jobs.

It's because the Teamsters know that Mexican truckers DO NOT have to follow U.S. rules and regulations on ANYTHING. Plus, they can't even read road signs in English! This was all the doing of the Shrub gang!

Makes ya wonder why they never said anything about Canadian truck drivers being allowed to drive in America ?

Last time i checked, canada was a foreign country too.

Heck, didn't the Democrats just try and take away the Unions right to a secret ballot ?

Why don't they just tell the corporations who the union organizers are at the beginning, so they can be fired.

The teamsters want the trucks to stop at the border so they can have their guys unload the trucks, and load up another truck.

It's all about doing work twice to provide more hours to union employees.

I was a union member, a steward, and member of the negotiating committee. Honestly, it was kind of embarrassing seeing the union at work.

They always told me to vote Democrat as well, but after seeing how the union operates up close I wouldn't take their advice on most topics - especially politics.

The biggest mistake America ever made was creating the NLRB. Labor Unions hurt our country as a whole and are only a means where union workers rob everyone else, including one another. If it puts the Teamsters out of business, I hope we have millions of Mexican trucks on our roads.

If the Mexican truck drivers are allowed to transport goods into the USA more goods will be off loaded at Mexican ports and then delivered to US cities.

You'll notice a big reduction of ships off loading at US ports.

If the NAU is allowed to form it will be even worse. Find out where your Congressman and Senators stand on this issue. Ask them to get active against it. It needs to be stopped.

When I was a Teamster they told me the same thing. You can see how the Democrats took care of them.

Because now it looks like even jobs driving trucks in America is going to be outsourced.
