yes. my progress suprises me on a daily basis. in my recovery i try my best to practice humility in all my affairs. getting too comfortable or too confident in sobriety is a set up for a relapse. i thank my higher power every morning for giving me a new day to practice the principles of recovery. i couldn't be a good mom or a good partner for my significant other if i didn't put recover first. so yes, every day i am suprised and grateful for everything God and sobriety has done for me. especially when i think about how bad off i was in active addiction and how many people i hurt.
