We regularly hear about objects that travel faster than the speed of light, but I've never heard anything about the speed of dark. Does darkness travel or is it just static ?

Hello,

(ANS) Its like the difference between "doing" and "being", light is an active force i.e. is made up of particles called photons, & photons are usually active in the sense that they have movement through excitation. And we can measure the speed of photons i.e. 186,000 miles per second.

Darkness is a state or condition where there is an absence of light or an absence of particles of photon's.

Therefore there is no such thing as the speed of darkness as I understand the laws of physics & cosmology.

This question is meaningless I'm afraid. Dark or darkness does not exist, it is merely the absence of light.

The only possible way you could talk about darkness having a speed would be by looking at the speed it recedes as light passes through it.

It will, in this sence recede at the speed of light (186,000 miles or 300,000 Km per second) but it is the light that is travelling, not the dark

Where exactly have you heard about objects travelling faster than the speed of light?

Dark is a sneaky bugger and tends to hitch a lift off Light.

Therefore, the speed of dark is the same as the speed of light.

Unless it falls off - then the speed of dark is zero m/s, as it lies there complaining about it's sore bumps and bruises

The same as the speed of light.

It travels at the same speed as that of Light. One contrasts the other. Both the velocity of dark and light are relative.
You are correct when you say that Galaxies recession velocities are faster than light.( that was observed by Atronomers and Cosmologists)

The dark is the shadow of light .....the only measurement you can tell is to measure the light..........fast or slow it depends on the actual object itself to the subject..
Question what is the object and what is the subject?
Dark is the subject and light is the object.

have you been reading that book its a very good book and also the other question is 'How do you un fire a gun?'
also all we know is dark is much faster than light because it always gets there before it.

If light moves at approximately 300,000,000 metres per second (a speed known as 'c') then dark moves at -c.
