What should i expect after abruptly stopping contraceptives?

i was on the conraceptive jab for three months quit it abruptly didnt have periods for two months ,the first periods after the jab lasted seven days instead of the usual three had to take medication for it they stopped for about a week had sex with a condom and they are back very painfull and heavy. anyone know anything about this? please help.

There can be withdrawal bleeding that goes on for a time as the body tries to adjust to being off the medication. With Depo-Provera it can sometimes take a year for the body to adjust to being off the medication and having the periods be regular.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
