like you, I spent a lot of time on R/S till I came to this question you asked here!
no one can answer this question b/c there are many unknonws to our existence,
but instead of the idea of "purpose of life" try to have "life of purposes"
that works much better !

"Here today, gone tomorrow," true, but it is still not pointless to me. I agree that my life is probably very insignificant on the universal scale, though.

I'm in agreement...but you get to do some pretty cool sh*t while you're here. Use it or lose it. You'll carry on in the hearts of those who loved you always. The bit that freaks me out is the tourists from around the world that have me or you in their photos in the background that may get kept in the family for generations. Weird.

l am completely tired of life right now..but no its not that hopeless what you need to do is find the one thing you think you can live for and no matter what comes your way you will look at it and say at least l got ABC..in my life...just find it thats it..dont expect or try to explain things it will only tie you down...we are not in control

dun think this way. Our purpose on Earth is to learn whatever we can, so that we can use these skills after our death, in heaven, which will last for eternity. Our life on Earth is only the rehearsal. The real show begins in heaven.

nothing is hopeless all you have do to do is try and put a possitive spin on things. try diffrent things. try and reinvent yourself find new ways of having fun. life is never pointless it is just hard to see a good path sometimes.

life is just what you make it. so if your life is pointless, you made it so. and it's not really "gone tomorrow". if you've done something worthwhile, and if you've found your purpose, or maybe if you were in love (heck silly but yeah), you'd know. *wink

No way darl. I got stuck on a point just last night. NO Its not what you think you dirty lot. I stabbed myself with a newly sharpened pencil as I was sitting down to do my crossword puzzle.
