This is what's out right now: "It looks like 50 Cent is headed for retirement, if store reports continue to trend the way they were by mid-afternoon today (Sept. 11). 50 Cent had told SOHH.com that he would quit the rap game if his new G-Unit/Interscope album, "Curtis," was outsold by Kanye West's Def Jam set "Graduation," both of which were released today.

Sales data is finalized Sunday at midnight when the Nielsen SoundScan week officially ends, but early indications are that West will be the victor, at least in the first week."

i prefer 50 cent to gained the conflict because of the fact he's a techniques greater powerful than kanye west and kanye is completely a prefer to be , any way did u considered Kanye face interior the MTV award practice he grow to be crying like somewhat one because of the fact he did no longer gained not one of the numerous types he been in have. u comprehend what unhappy is that if kayne gained he ought to wish greater because of the fact whilst 50 cent return in 3 or 4 years from now he in simple terms going to be between the rapper who've a extreme-high quality tone yet just to apply for ur table or the back of ur vehicle.

It was Kanye. He was ahead of Fiddy on Itunes as well. Kanye was first, followed by country singer Kenny Chesney. Fiddy was 3rd. I found it on perezhilton.com. Here's what he wrote:

Music industry insiders are telling us that Kanye West’s new album, released on Tuesday, is on its way to selling 700,000 copies.

50 Cent’s new record is only projected to move about 500,000 units.

There is even talk that Kenney Chesney’s new album, also released this week, will do better than Fiddy too.

50 Cent coming in third???

Time to hang up your microphone Fiddy!!!!

It doesn't matter. Why should it? It's sh*t like this that is killing Hip-Hop all together. 50 said he was going to retire if he didn't have the most sales over Kanye. Well that just means that 50 is only in it for the money and fame. It also makes him sound like a little b*tch who always wants things his way. Besides you don't need to sell x amount of copies to be good. Look at Nas's Illmatic. The sales for that album where low, but many people call it one of Rap's best albums. Besides those are two completely different types of rap. That's like comparing Jay-Z with Brother Ali( if you even know who that is) It just can't be done. Not that I want Kanye to win, because I don't, but he does have more to say then 50, who's new song sound very much like his older songs. Kanye also seems to be cocky, by saying he is better then other rappers. Kanye mostly got his fans by making songs with other great rappers like Mos Def, Talib kweli, Hi-Tek and many others who were still considered "underground" at the time. Like I said before, those are two completely different types of rap, so who ever wins means that's the best type of rap. So if 50 wins that means songs about guns, drugs, cars, and rims are better then songs about spirituality, poverty, and other social issues. This is clearly a marketing strategy to increase sales.

beareyouseae: if 50 wins it has nothin to do with his subject manner, it means that more people wanted to hear that album..dont try and cherrpick the reason for him sellin is that his subject manner is "better" than kanye's, and that whatever album sold more is "the better kind of rap" thats being biased, and its ignorant statement alltogether.. as an example, i kno these albums didnt come out the same day but w/e, last year i bought The Game's album "the doctor's advocate", i passed on Lupe Fiasco "food and liquor" (i did eventually get that)..The Game sold more records, does that mean he has "the better kind of rap"? no it means Game had more popularity and more people who wanted to hear his album
