I am coming to Ann Arbor for Training. And going to stay here until 18th. Today, I found the big football match will be held in here in this weekend. I do not have any friend here. And I could find only one ticket I can buy by one. (except the one, all tickets are sold in 2 or more.)
1. I can buy the ticket and can go by myself, do you think that I can enjoy the real american football?

2. And as your advice, is there any other points or event which I should see related with the football game?

I am really want to have a good experience and good suvenir story for my friends.
I am 47 years old Japanese Woman and this is the first time of going studium in abroad.

Is there any other rules or regulations which I have to be care, also would you please teach me.
Thank you for your help.

Take a friend with you who understands the game. Tickets are usually easier to find in pairs anyway. Expect to have a lot of questions for your friend.

Take pictures, buy a program, and enjoy the atmosphere. You will find that it will be much louder and more emotional than most sports audiences in Japan. The only thing that comes close may be some soccer games, without the violence.

You will be going to the largest football stadium in the United States. Most professional stadiums hold just over half of the people.

Have fun.

1) You can go to the game and have fun. When you get there tell the person on either side of you that you've never watched a game before, they should be able to help you.

2) There are a lot of rules, but the main ones are these.

a) the team on offense can throw the ball or run the ball to advance down the field.

b) they have 4 plays to go 10 yards. Usually, if they don't make it in 3 plays, they will use the 4th play to punt, or kick the ball to the other team.

c) When a team gets the ball into the section of the field at the end of the stadium, it is called a touchdown which is 6 points. After the touchdown, the team can kick the ball through the goal posts for 1 "extra point" or try a run or pass to get 2 extra points.

Yeah that's pretty true. If you want to fit in, well when your team is on defense and be quiet when they're on offense. It's fun and it helps your team by allowing your QB to hear himself think and the other one to deal with yelling, but don't be the only one yelling. That typically means the home team made a mistake and your the only one not to notice. To enjoy American football just get pumped and watch people get hit and hope your team move the ball to the orange sticks in three tries. If they do the get three more chances to go ten yards to the moved orange sticks. They repeat until failure or a touchdown. If it's a touchdown for your team, go crazy and high five your fellow fans. Sorry if this is confusing but American football's complex but relax and go a little crazy and yell with the other crazies and you'll have a blast.

usually the Michigan game would be enough to keep you entertained but this year Michigan is having some problems, so here is what you should do on game day if you are going to see Michigan. start drinking beer at about 7:00 a.m. and drink all day until about 45 min. till kick-off and then take a few shots of whiskey. that should do it. football is awesome just being there in that atmosphere is good enough. have fun.

Michigan is having a turbulent season, so I should tell you some of the answers to this question besides mine might be a little bitter or sarcastic. I realize you are being honest.

I recommend taking two friends with you who can buy a pack of two tickets as well. They can help you understand the game.

By the way, the other team is Notre Dame, who is also having an unsually awful season so far, so you should see a very emotional and hard-fought game. Enjoy it!

If you like, you can tell me about your trip via E-mail. It sounds very interesting. Konichiwa.
