"Where were you when the world stopped turning, that September day?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvj6zdWLUuk

I was at a laundrymat, Nicklelodeon was on tv, so we didn't hear about it until my GF's sister called us. We got home and turned on the tv just in time to see the 2nd jet hit the towers.

And I thought that Democracy was in trouble because too many would sell out the dream for the hope of protection.

I don't want to hear conspiracy theories. I don't want to hear about the Wars, yes there are still two of them. I don't want to hear finger pointing and politicking.

Just tell us all where you were, how you heard and what you felt.

I was working, heard it on the radio. Didn't understand or believe until I got home and saw it on TV. My first reaction was anger, nobody does that on my turf. My second was shock, I was surprised the Towers fell. I already knew of the bomber that hit the Empire State building in 1944 and couldn't believe the way they came unzipped until I had a chance to think about it. My third reaction was that this calls for nuking somebody's ***.

I had just gotten home from working the weekend shift and had sat down in front of the TV and turned CNN on and saw it all happen right in front of my eyes, from the very beginning. I don't think I left the TV for three days after that moment. A nieghor stopped by on his way to work and saw me actually crying like a baby and thought something had happened to my daughter until I sat him down in front of the TV, he didn't leave for 12 hours. in Europe on a business trip. A friend from New York called and asked me to turn on the TV. I actually did not believe what I saw. I felt sure the WW III has just begun.

Was out drinking then watch in shock as the horror unfolded on the TV screen. Took a while before it sank in as real life footage and not a joke.

That was yesterday...and to my knowledge the world didn't stop turning...night fell that day, just like every other day.
