Several times actually. On one occassion my mother almost killed me by squirting a mouthful of Palmolive dishsoap between my teeth because I wouldn't open my mouth to accommodate a bar soap. I ended up swallowing quite a bit of it and had all sorts of intestinal problems for a couple weeks afterwards. The doctor told her never to do something like that again and it was the last time she ever did. To this day I can still remember how sick that made me, yuck.
Prior to the liquid soap incident she would rake the bar soap back and forth inside my mouth a couple times so little chunks would get caught on my teeth then I'd have to go sit in my room for like 5 minutes before she would let me rinse it out. Back in the late 60's/early 70's I guess they didn't realize it was poisonous.

yes. my mom would do that to us when we were younger if we had been bad. (as in if we said a bad word or something)
---> If you ever have to get your mouth washed out with soap *whispers* go for the all natural oatmeal bar, or if you don't have that use irish spring. they taste slighly better than ivory or dove LOL♥

I washed my two kids mouth out when they were 5 and 3. The 5 year old came home from kindergarten saying "f#%k" I told him not to say it. The next night he whispered to the 3 year old to say it. So I warned them the 4th night he whispered to her again. I washed both out one for telling, the other for saying. It was hard not to laugh at them, but I knew it was important. They hated it...it was so funny. They were spitting out soap...lol But it worked! But now my daughter is 23 and she says the word all the time..lol. I don't care now because she KNOWS when not to say it. :)

Yes. When I was five, I said my first swear word although I didn't know it, at the time. My mom did the honors with a bar of Lifebouy.

yes i have,
I was doing some home improvement on a vacated house when a fly got into my mouth.
I ran into the bathroom that had nothing but a piece of soap,
I had no choice but to use it.
