Yes Twenty 20 will destruct ODI after 10 to 20 years because the time taken is reduced and it provides more thrill than ODI's Lots of hits entertains the spectators.But ODI will not vanish.It will be in one side may be rare playing..

It is bad for ODI, why only ODI, it is bad for cricket. It will make cricket, a power game. Seeing 20-20, no body will like to be a bowler! He is the most pitiable person in the game. The pitch, the bowling tricks do not matter here. Even a batsman, who fails consecutively, will be thrown out.
So, to sum up, it will spoil the game.

The main difference between one-day and twenty 20 cricket is one-day matct is full day match and 20-20 match is only 3 hour match

twenty20 is not destruction of ODIs but destruction of bowlers as already cricket was a batsman's paradise but this is going to be a nightmare for many of the bowlers.
The ICC is going for entertainment against the bowlers.
