You need to be more specific. You might not be ovulating the second you have intercourse but sperm can live up to 24-72 hours (I think)and if you ovulate somewhere during that time, then yes you can get pregnant because the sperm will find the egg which equals pregnancy. Google it, read about it, get a book, stop asking us. As I said before, I conceived a day or two before my peak ovulation and I am 8 weeks pregnant, so obviously it can happen.

typically, you must have ovulated less than 14 days ago to become pregnant.
Of course, sperm are capable of surviving about 14 days also!
so it's possible to get pregnant from intercourse that happened on any day as long as you ovulate on a normal "28" cycle.
Of course, it's far more likely if sex occurs around the time of ovulation. Few sperm or ova survive as long as I have indicated.
If you never ovulate, you won't get pregnant, but you can start at any time after age 9 or so. Missing a few months is no guarantee that you won't start up again!

There is a lot of confusion among women on whether or not you can get pregnant from intercourse after ovulation. And the correct answer is, yes you can. Actually, there is a chance that you can get pregnant any time during your cycle. Hence it is imperative that you understand your menstruation pattern and ovulation timings to understand how and when you may get pregnant.
For women who are trying to get pregnant, it is often advised that they should have intercourse before ovulation. This helps in conception since the sperm from the man are deposited into the cervix and as soon as the ovum is released, it has the opportunity to be fertilized. But this in no means limits the woman's ability to get pregnant after ovulation. In fact her chances of getting pregnant only depend on when she ovulates and how that is timed with intercourse. Considering the fact that the ovum starts to disintegrate 12 to 48 hours, there is a possibility that your partner's sperm can fertilize the egg up to two days after you ovulate. Keep in mind that the chances of getting pregnant this way dramatically decreases the further away from ovulation you are.
So if you are trying to get pregnant, cheers, you can try to have intercourse anytime near ovulation to increase your chances of getting pregnant, periods or not! It will greatly help you if you chart your ovulation pattern and also monitor your cervical mucus. In addition maintaining a chart of your basal body temperature will also be very helpful in pin pointing that fertile window which can help you conceive faster.
Good Luck.

When you ovulate, you release an egg that can then be fertilized by the sperm. The only thing is, you don't really know what exact time your ovulating. You can only get pregnant if there is an egg waiting for the sperm at the precise moment the sperm is there to fertlize it. Did any of you NOT take biology?

You have to ovulated in order to release an egg...but you can have sex a few days before ovulation and the sperm still survive long enough to fertilize the egg.

Face it. Unless you're menopausal or have been
"fixed" you can always get pregnant. Keep a condom
handy. An unexpected infant is a life altering occasion.
Ladies- get some form of reliable birth control. I chose
an IUD. Awesome for my circumstances. I chose to have
2 kids. Gentlemen, don't ever assume that a lady is on
birth control. Every child deserves a father that is willing
to pay child support until she/he is at least 18 years of
age. If you can't handle that, then handle a condom. Or
better yet. Don't mess around.
Yes. you can get pregnant as long as you are within the
age range of 10-50. There's nothing wrong with saying
"NO." Respect yourself.

You ca not get pregnant if you are not ovulating. The sperm has to be able to connect with the egg to get pregnant. If you are not ovulating, then the egg is not present, therefore, no baby.

Ovulation usually starts 14 days after your first day of mensus. Only 3-days before and 3 days after your 5 day's mensus is so-called the "safe-period". Other than that, you risk getting pregnant as ovulation cycle has started.

If you're ovulating, it means you are releasing an egg that can be fertilized. If you're not, then you can't get pregnant because no egg has been released.
