I loved that show

...recently, I bought both box sets, sight unseen, based upon what I had heard about the series...and I was overwhelmed at how delightfully macabre, and outrageously hilarious the series was...

...indeed, I was most disappointed to discover that Showtime had chosen not to continue the series, despite it's ever-growing cult audience...

...this past July, I was at the International Comic Con, in San Diego, and my delight for the series was renewed, as a visited an exhibit, advertising a movie version of "Dead Like Me", reportedly due out early next year; although it will be great to see Ellen Muth, back in the role of George, the flavor of the show might be lacking, with the apparent departure of Mandy Patinkin as Rube (...my favorite character in the show)...

...it is my high hopes that this movie, being released direct-to-video, ushers in a re-interest in the show, either back on Showtime, or perhaps a series of connecting direct-to-video feature films...and perhaps coax Mandy Patinkin back into the fold...

...keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Definitely! They always seem to cancel the good shows and leave the crappy ones to play for like 10 seasons.

Oooo ooo... I do! I have both seasons on DVD and was sad to learn that those two seasons were it. It was a witty show and something you don't get to see on TV often. I wonder if they'll ever consider bringing it back... hmmm... one can dream.

Movie is coming straight to video this Spring. Ellen Muth has a My Space page, and it is confirmed on IMDB.

I liked it also, but I didn't discover it until it was already over.
