SC is currently regarded as the premier college football program by many people and they get the lions share of the publicity/hype. Everyone wants to be there so you have everyone shooting for you.

I have witnessed more USC fans on these boards talking crap than any other teams fans..
It is to the point that I want USC to lose, just to provide a little justice in the world and to shut up all the idiotic SC fans.
So not sure how you can say that you guys barely talk about other teams...all I hear is talk from you, how you would beat any SEC team any day by 40 points..or something along those lines.
Now SEC fans talk a lot of trash also, so it is not just you guys.
But just not sure where you have been if you think most USC fans are respectful of other teams and don't talk crap.
In fact, you are talking crap, just by posting a question such as this. So you have already disproved your own theory. Smart, real smart.

a number of it truly is barely who responds to questions. possibly 20 human beings test the subject material the impartial human beings possibly sixteen would desire to no longer even open it up. Then possibly of the 20 purely 4 who respond 2 hate the college and a pair of affection the college. the folk who dislike USC and the folk who like USC are greater possibly to respond to. So probability is you're becoming greater extremes on a question like this.

Didn't Texas beat USC in the Rose Bowl and become national champions in 2006? And didn't USC lose to Oregon State last year and then go on to beat a (now we know) pathetically weak Michigan team? USC is way overrated. A Trojan is a rubber and it fits real well on a LONGHORN!

I got a better question:
Why would any USC fan wanna root for a team that cheats in the recruiting process by buying houses and cars for their recruits?

"Antipathetic" fans...Are you a SC English major? I consider myself an "antipathetic" fan...I don't like watching pathetic football; hence, I am anti-pathetic. Does that mean you are pro-pathetic? J/K. Good luck this weekend now that SC has had their first of two bye weeks.

I'm a Wyoming fan, and I hope every big school who buys their players and overrecruits future car thieves gets this right - the object is not to pave the way for an NFL career, but to compete honestly and fairly.
It shouldn't be all about the bling.
Hats off to Appalachian State. In your eye, big machine teams.
