I'm doing a paper on women and the overlooking of normality when it comes to weight and appearance. I am curious as to what "shape" you are. I know there are variations of the same names: i.e. straight/boyish/H. If you also feel comfortable revealing your weight that would be great as well.

On the other hand what do you find as the most appealing physical appearance?I'm curious as to what size for you personally or for others (women) you find to be the ideal. Try to be as specific as you can. Answering "not fat", etc. is not helpful or appreciated.

Men are welcome to answer as well.
Thanks.

I'm 5.8 and weigh 138. Curvy, mainly due to family genes and oriental dancing since childhood. Have long, wavy hair (sometimes I blow dry it straight), brunette, dark eyes, light complexion.

You asked about women, so I shall describe what pertains to females only. Am mostly attracted to women with similiar features, but have also come across variety which has very much appealed to me.
What strikes my attention initially is a woman with long or medium, dark hair, light or dark eyes, light or medium complexion and a curvacious body...healthy, no extremes of weight (in an unhealthy manner)...in other words, could be athletic, but with a little meat here and there. ;-)

Have also found myself attracted to some transexual men/women, with either "feminine" or "non-feminine features" (I dislike using those terms, but it seems to be understandable for most people).
On occasion, I come across a woman that has but a few (or even none) of the characteristics I mentioned in the second paragraph, yet possesses something else that intrigues me and maintains my interest in her.

The truth is we are attracted to physical beauty as well. But I think with a woman, we just hope there is more to a nice looking guy than his looks. Alot of us women know, if he's fine there is a chance he still is a nice person on the inside. But odds are he is conceited and has had woman at his feet. That is just how it goes. Some women just prefer a man without all the looks because you do not have to worry about him cheating as much cause dont nobody want him but you and if he is not conceited and caught up in appearances he'll love you too no matter if you are very attractive or not. I hope that helps you GOOD LUCK

From a male POV...

I've never had a specific female body type I seek. But here is an example of two different types I do like. At my local gym there are two women (under 30) who work out together sometimes and about the same height (5' 6" or 7"). She has a small but an B's maybe A cups. I'd guess a size 4 or even less and <120 lbs. Her friend is very curvy with wide hips and C cups or better and >140 lbs. I'd guess her to be size 8 or more. The one thing they don't have is a bulky midsection. They have girl curves in the right places (chest and hips). Both of the above women are very attractive in their own way. So, a thicker woman can look great as it really depends on how she carries it.

Well I'm 5'4
I'm 50kg, I think that may be 110 in pounds but I'm not sure
I'm a C cup
Greeny blue grey eyes
slightly olive skin
Brunette hair about the colour of my avatar

I'm told I'm very skinny sometimes but I think of myself as a normal, healthy weight. But I suppose normal now is overweight. Shape...hourglass I think cause my stomach is flat.

I think healthy and slender is the most appealing. I don't really know what men like. You hear a lot of men say now a days that they like women with some meat on their bones...and I hate it when people say it's unhealthy to be thin...I hate being called thin and skinny cause it's normally not in a positive way, it's in a your too skinny way. I shouldn't complain though even though I should be confident with what I've got I'm not. In fact I would love to have more self esteem and less anxiety.

I think there is a bit of a backlash to the whole too skinny models happening and a push to establish women who are bigger as the ideal girl.

It doesn't matter if your fat or the ideal weight or skinny, coming from an all girls school I know that girls will be horrible and criticize other girls for being skinnier or prettier then them or for being bigger and uglier to make themselves feel better. That's why all my friends are guys and I only have two female friends and I go to a co-ed school now.

My husband says I am just right and "curvy" but at 5'5" and 183 lbs I am working on being healthier and in better shape. I would like to be a size 8-10 currently between a 12-14. I guess to me the weight doesn't matter to me as much as feeling healthy and strong. Life occurences over the past 8 months have turned my focus on to caring for others and so now I am turning back to caring for myself physically.

The shape I would like to be in would be one with strong defined arms and muscular thighs that allow me to dance whenever I want.

I had a hard time making the conversions, i'm from Mexico and we use mts and kg. But i made an effort for you!

I'm about 5 feet -wich makes me really short. And i'm about 99 lb - so i think i'm not fat, but not so thiny either. I don't know exactly since i'm not really concerned on those issues.

Anyway, i like me, just the way i am and how i look, because i'm so concious that i need to love my self, enjoy my self, and like my self enougth so the people can notice and find those good things on me. Wether it is my boyfriend, my son, or just coworkers, friends, etc.

I guess a woman should try to look healty and live healty, i don't like to see really fat woman, but i don't like it when they seem so skiny.

There must be a good balance, not only for the look but for the healt. And i guess that a woman will be as atractive as secure she feels about her self.

Well there is something i would change about my body rigth now. I don't like my breasth, i have a son and i breasthfeed him. I have big boobs but they are kind of fluffy.

I am about size 6 (or 4, depending on the make of the clothes), 5' 0", and approximately 112 lbs. I have an hourglass shape. I think my appearance is generally attractive, although I would like more muscle tone in certain areas. Also, obviously, to be taller.

I am 65kg, hourglass figure, quite curvy.
I think women are all so different it's hard to pinpoint a preferred look.
People who are fit and healthy with a bit of weight on them is a good place to be. Most females are striving for a flatter stomach, thinner hips... but this is only because of the expectations society places on us...
If we were more preoccupied with inner beauty, no one would feel inadequate!
I think my own body type is what I prefer for myself!
Good luck with your paper...feel free to ask anymore questions on this subject as it is interesting.

I am 5' 9" tall.
Slim-weigh 9stone 4ounce.
Blond hair, blue eyes.

Eyes are very important.
An exercised physique.
However you can have all of the above and not present as attractive.
Very important to make sure you have a good hairstyle.
Very important how you dress. Buy little and good my grandmother always taught me.
Deportment is crucial too.
The way you walk and hold yourself.
The way you talk is also of the upmost importance, I've met many good looking women but when they open their mouths, the bubble is burst.
A combination of all the above makes for a good looking woman.
Hope this is helpful.

I'm a six footer but I am not attracted to really tall men. I prefer men who are about the same height as I am. I like them to be on the slender side and not muscular. Big muscles turn me off. I also don't care too much for excessive body hair. The biggest turnoff, though, are missing or rotten teeth. A man can be the biggest hunk in the world but if he has bad teeth, I immediatedly lose interest in him.
