The NL west teams are all underrated and for the most part do not get the respect they deserve from fans. Other teams in MLB certainly know that they are good. The Diamondbacks, Podres, Dodgers, and Rockies are solid and as a division the NL West has the best won/lost record of any other division. Without question in my mind the Diamondbacks are good enough to win it all and no one in baseball would be surprised if that happened.

I said it at the beginning of the year and im going to say it again, the diamondbacks will make the playoffs and have a good shot at the world series. To make it in the playoffs, a team needs good starting pitching and really, arizona and san diego are the only teams that have that who are going to make the playoffs. I would say that if san diego makes it to the alcs with arizona then san diego will win, otherwise, Im picking Arizona to make it.
PS. to whoever said that nothing good has ever come out of arizona, what about the world series in 2001?

Yes, if they get lucky. The Cardinals won it last year and they stunk. They could easily win the NL because there is not a good team in that league, sorry Mets. Then all they have to do is get lucky and win the Series against a better AL team. It happened last year with the Cards beating the Tigers it could happen again. Don't rule anything out its baseball!

San Diego has a better pitching staff and New York has better hitting. It's between those two teams. But anything can happen these days and Arizona certainly has a decent shot but I think it's going to be the Padres this year.

I'm going to say no. Not because I think the D-backs are a bad team...its just I've come to accept that there is a certain level of experience that is necessary to succeed in the playoffs and if you look at the dept chart, Eric Byrnes is the old man of the group. Everyone else is very young. I'd be worried about the Padres catching them too. Who knows, maybe the whole team will get scorching hot and burn up the playoffs. I'm a Mets fan tho..so..yeah

I would of said yes two weeks ago when they were playing great. Now they are playing good and about the same as the other leading teams in the NL. The NL is a toss up this year who will win. I know most people will say the Mets but lately their ERA is up quite a bit.

St. Louis last year proved it - all you have to do is get in and have 2 good weeks. They have had many good stretches this year. They can win it all for sure. Especially since the Central is pitiful this year too, and you can't expect too much out of whatever team comes out of there.

Yes they are. There is more to Baseball then just NY teams.and Yankee Red Sox talk. But those are the media capitols, so great teams like Arizona are not going to get the attention. Arizona has probably the best young talent in the league and nobody even knows it. I'm a big Chris Young fan and no one even knows him. Thats weak, Brandon Webb is having a cy young year, nobody knows him.

No, the diamond backs are not gonna win anything because their are two other teams they have to beat. for one the mets who will kill with their hitting and massive speed. two, they don't have enough offense to beat the padres, and finally, they don't have enough experience to to beat the champion of da AL if they make it to the W.S.
