There are a lot of books from which to choose. There are certain books that can be read by any age group and reading level. The Chronicles of Narnia series (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader; The Silver Chair; The Horse and His Boy; The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle) by C.S. Lewis is a good example.

Other books for all ages:
The Three Musketeers - Alexandre Dumas
The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
The Scarlet Pimpernel - Baroness Orczy (there's a series of these)
The Master of Ballantrae - Robert Louis Stevenson
Kidnapped - Robert Louis Stevenson
Treasure Island - Robert Louis Stevenson
Ivanhoe - Sir Walter Scott
The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
The Lord of the Rings series (The Fellowship of the Ring; The Two Towers; The Return of the King) - J.R.R. Tolkien
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court - Mark Twain
The Prince and the Pauper - Mark Twain
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - Washington Irving
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
Black Beauty - Anna Sewell

There are so many more that could be mentioned, but those I've listed are all good.

Go to Amazon.com and search:
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - Book 2 is going to be out in the next 6 weeks or so, Book 3 is written and in editing and will be out sometime in the next few months.
"Death by MURDER David Lindsay" - you have to search that way or it won't come up. There's lots of sex in that one.
"Super Spaghetti"
And the best part is, for now, they're all FREE. You can read them with Kindle Unlimited - if you don't have Kindle Unlimited Google how to get a free trial, and all those books are free. They can be read online, with a free Kindle phone app, or on a Kindle.

I am always hesitant to suggest books without more information to someone who has just begun to read. Each person has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to books. If you tell us more about what you like we could give you better answers. Such as do you like romance, sci-fi, mystery. There are so many choices out there in each genre. I personally love Dark Fantasy and Romance books. I am currently reading My Sister's Keeper byJanrae Frank and I have yet to find a book by him that I don't like. If you don't like Dark Fantasy I would suggest you go to a site that sells books such as Amazon.com and search for books similar to the ones you do like. Most sites that sell books also have a rating system that allows their customers to rate books. I have found many great books this way.

I'm a real big sci-fi reader. I love Frank Herbert, Michael Moorcock and Tolkien. Right now I'm reading "Sandworms of Dune" by Frank Herbert. The last book in the series.

Very vague. It would help if we knew your age and interests, but maybe this will help:

http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, a short review of each book along with a brief summary of adult content, a "reader's choice" list of favorite books, and a list of heroine sorcery fantasy books.

If not, maybe this will help:

http://www.awardannals.com/wiki/Honor_roll:Genres

Books ranked by number of awards won. Although slanted toward more recent books, you are not likely to find any losers at the top of these lists.

I hope this helps.

"One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Marquez

"What's Bred in the Bone" by Robertson Davies---the first of a great trilogy, and even from that a couple more sort of spin-off books Davies wrote. This Canadian writer is a great storyteller.

"One Hundred Secret Senses" by Amy Tan---a story of a remarkable young Chinese woman, who comes to the US from China near adult age, I can't quite remember the age. But she know the hundred secret senses.

If you liked the Master and Margarita and want to continue on with Russian literature, try "The Brothers Karamazov" or "The Possessed" (both by Dostoevsky) or "Dead Souls" (by Gogol).

If you want to go beyond Russian, you can try "Everything is Illuminated" (by Jonathan Safran Foer), "East of Eden" (by John Steinbeck), or "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by (Khaled Hosseini).

Better yet, read them all! =)
