Various models of the GSXR 750 has often been described as the best Japanese sports bike - 600 class handling with near litrebike power. I expect the current model to fit the mold.
But the Trumpy 675s are very quick bikes - the owners rave about them - I haven't had a ride on one yet though!
The GSXR 750 is a physically larger bike- so if you're small get the Triumph, larger the GSXR!

I'm a sportbike salesman. I'm telling you if your looking for the BEST overall bike, it is the gsxr 750. The 600's are all good but they have down falls. Also the the Triumph 675 is a good overall bike and te cool thing is it is different. The 600's are quick, but if you end up in a long haul race or anything of the sort is where the 750 gsxr starts to stand out. The 600 cbr rr is an excellent user friendly bike and is very comfortable and the 07 was a complete turn around from the years before. I like there suspension set up. I would honestly go to the gsxr 750 if your looking for good overall solid bike. Whatever you do not the 06 or 07 Yamaha's they had a lot of glitches with there fly by wire throttle system! Any questions?

hmm, Ninja 500, not much comparison between that and a Supersport, but the one guy was right that on a twisty road you should be able to keep up with them if you are a good rider. I've heard that the Triumph isn't as reliable as the Jap bikes and cost more in repairs. Any of the 600's except the R6 will make a great bike for you, as someone said the R6 engine isn't very good for most users as its all top-end. Certainly a GSX-R750 is better then any 600 and a 1000 even better, but you'd be a bit crazy to go from a mild Ninja 500 to a GSXR1000. There can be a huge difference in the price of your insurance on a 750 or 1000cc bike and its unlikely you would be ready to fully exploit the bikes potential in those first couple years of ownership. I actually had a 2000 GSXR750 and now own a 2004 ZX-6R (636) and it works great for me on the track and street, though I'd love to have that extra power on the 1-2 straight sections at the track.

The Honda is probably the best overall performance bike you've listed but actually having ridden both of them, I feel the Suzuki is a little more comfortable. The I remember the booklets saying that the dry weight on the suzuki was 350 something and the full weight of the honda was 410...I dunno if oil, breakfluid, and gas should make a 60lb difference but the few hundred dollar difference in the MSRP price would sway me to Suzuki. With supersport bikes like these, the faster person is gonna be the better rider anyways. Forget Triumph, you want flat out acceleration, get a Japanese supersport.

I'd go with the Triumph - they are a blast to ride. I have ridden a couple, and they are awesome! A few mags have compared them very favorably to the Gixxer 750, plus they are lighter, handle better, more unique, cooler looking, and Triumphs are just as reliable as the Jap bikes. Motorcycle Consumer News readers gave Triumph the highest customer satisfaction rating ever a few years back.

Try leaning first. You haven't outgrown your 500cc until you've dragged a knee in the corners and outran another squid on his Gixxer in the canyons.
Feedack? If all you want is acceleration, you're a squid.
