Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
To Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually

Basically, it means that most folks are not ready to hear the whole truth in its entirety. They need to be fed it a spoonful at a time, with lots of explanations or they simply will be unable to absorb it all.

My oppion is the poem is trying to say the no one can with stand the whole truth because it would hurt to much.Like the old saying take the truth with a grain of salt the truth will awaken you with a shock or surprise and the whole truth is so bright with the light of the lord that the liers and the wicked who fear the truth will be blined by its beauty.

Crooked is the truth, not straight.
For if it were, you would be blinded by it.
It must flower slowly as though it had a dimmer switch.
A childs eyes is full of it, the truth is simple.

It means The truth is a powerful thing and should be told gently and gradually. To bold to be told all at once

don't be too direct, make your point easily, circle the idea don't just say it, ease in via explanation. Be too direct and you just be heard
