Its kinda like when you see "wet paint" you want to touch it, or when someone says "don't think of..." that's the first thing you think of.

Top of my head answer would be knee-jerk visceral gut reaction causes us too look before we can help it.

but when someone says don't look. i try to not look. i mean if they don't want me to look then i wont
buut. if they say don't look it's like an indicator of "look!"
if they didn't say "don't look"
like 70% of the people you're saying "don't look" to probably wasn't looking in the first place.
does that make any sense? hahaha ^^;;

hey, i never look. my friends do, though, and then grin sheepishly when they're caught in the act.

i guess it's because of the curiosity thing, you can't really help it. you have to know what's so funny or interesting or handsome (by you, of course i mean universally you)
