lol. Dear, he isn't your real friend after all. Real friend would not stereotype. We are human, which means different and so are they. There are some airheads in both genders ( and we are not proud of them ), but world is full of brilliant and successful women. So next time any man tries to belittle you, send him to hell, where he belongs.

No hon, that is a myth. Just because men hold many political offices and are in more high paying leadership positions does not mean that men are smarter. As I have told my daughters and I'll tell you: You are a woman and you can do anything! You can fly planes, you can be an astronaut, you can be the leader of the band or the general of the Army. You can be the boss, the mayor, the governor, the captain of a ship, or even one day, you could be the president but you have to put forth the effort to get to these positions. It's not easy, but there are a lot of smart women out there doing these jobs. However, girls have to work a whole lot harder than men do to get to these positions because many people believe that this myth about men being smarter is true. What you have to do, like so many women have before you is to prove these bigots wrong. And just because some guy or even a girl says that men are smarter just shows he or she doesn't know what they're talking about. And, oh, by the way, there are stupid people, both male and female. There is also an over abundance of ignorance, bias, and bigotry. It sounds like your friend is suffering from all three of these problems and quite possibly a self esteem issue, which boys can suffer from just like girls. I hope this helps and good luck. Now pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get going on your future! :)

Is there something to prove that? I don't believe so. There was a study at some college...that said the men were smarter than women, yet I don't see howthey can prove that being as it's one study..and not of all the women and men in the world. I'm sure men would like to think they are smarter... but there's just as many smart women as there are men...your knowledge has nothing to do with the gender you are.

The word smart does not only refers to one definition. There are also smart people who are not good with other things. Others can pretend, they might just think that they're perfect. On that question, my answer would not be yes, no, or maybe?... i think it depends on a situation. We can't really say that men are more smarter than women or women are more smarter than men. All people are not perfect. There are always something in this world that we haven't seen and known yet. If we really want to be smart, then we must prove ourselves that we're smart...

My friend said dogs are better than cats in general. That's not true.
Edit: Hey, rpg nerd...if "women don't do better in school - they just choose easier classes" why haven't men followed them around, found which classes are easiest, and then taken them? Life would be so much easier that way. Why take hard classes, when you can just coast through the easy "girl" classes? Then people would say men do better in school. Would that work?
Edit 2: Interesting. Well, tell my female students who are doing double majors in physics and English all about how easy their workload is, then. Do you approve of those subjects? Differentiating between the hard courses and the easy courses is so simple when one knows nothing of either. Since I teach English and see people's on-going struggle with such an "easy" subject, I've come to the conclusion that it's easy for some and hard for others! Wow. What a concept. I'll be sure to pass this on to my daughter who is in medical school. Did you know that most of the leading theorists studied in sociology are men? Emile Durkheim, Max Weber...Karl Marx? Guess none of them were all that bright either.

Let's see the world has been ruled by mostly men for centuries, how do you think they've done? And because the world has been ruled by mostly men women have had to fight for equal opportunities to learn, study, and create. I think both sexes are meant to compliment each other and ridiculous statements and beliefs like that hold the human race hostage in an immature and un-evolved state. And all people will rise to the expectations set before them unfortunately there is a long history of men not expecting much from women. But the times they are a changing.

Its not an issue that can be generalize as gender, we all have different levels of intelligence ,that is an old wives tale, about men or women being more intelligent then each other some people are smart, some are not, and some people have to work at it harder then others.

IQ is dependent on many factors, and gender is only a factor indirectly. In countries where men are encouraged more than women to pursue education, men have higher IQs. In more egalitarian ones, there is no statistical difference between men and women in IQ. And in a minority of countries, boys aren't being encouraged to get a good education, and as a result their IQs are dropping.
There are categories of intelligence where men tend to fare slightly better, and categories where women have a slight upper hand. Which categories these are also varies from country to country, because they arise from that culture's beliefs about what fields boys and girls should be most encouraged in.
The truth is that socioeconomic factors are the main determinants of IQ, so there is only a discrepancy between men and women when one gender is disadvantaged in social class and education.

Was Your friend a Male or a Female? I would have to agree with Them. Women are more eclectic. They tend to absorb more little bits of information than do Men. Gossip and General Knowledge are the two items that immediately come to mind. Men focus on one area of expertise. Hence the fact that most professionals are Male. The relative difference between the two genders being in their ability to be able to separate fact from fiction. Women tend to believe what They are told about Men, whereas Male demand proof of an allegation. In order to make a point a Woman will use pretense, affectation, verbiage, badinage and often vociferation in order to get Her point across. Men just yell out the facts, and then switch off: working on the understanding that logic will prevail. Men just don't care about the same things that Women do. Women's thought processes are far more self centered. Just look at a self help book shop or a magazine sellers inventory. It is one thing to improve Yourself. It is another to do so at the expense of someone else's self esteem. Men are smart enough to know this.

supposed smart men have been running this country forever. look where these rocket scientists got us. generally you are as smart as you want to be, just know how to use it. maybe if women were given a chance in the beginning their input could have meant some drastic changes in history. who do you vote for---the man in charge or the woman who knows what's going on.

i won't communicate for asian women human beings, yet i will communicate for asians in many circumstances. The 2d/third technology'ers are lots extra open minded approximately dating interracially. So if she's fairly youthful, think ofyou've have been given a great gamble. however, the extra youthful asian women have extra self belief and many times circumstances like youthful warm looking adult men. If she is slightly older she is probably slightly extra classic and can extremely persist along with her very own race. needless to say i don't be attentive to this lady and can't say for helpful, yet maximum favourite/regularly occurring asians (demure, shy and quiet) persist with their very own race.
