actually, its mainly the tobacco level. of course, Camel is like, the strongest ciggie around, and only veterans will smoke Camels. Higher the tobacco level, the stronger the effect. if you're a first time smoker and you take a higher level of tobacco, say, Marlboro Reds (compared to Viceroy or Texas 5), you will experience giddyness and slight nausea, because your body has not adapted to the tobacco.
Just like the difference within the brand itself, take Marlboro Reds and Marlboro Menthol for example. the tobacco level is about the same, albeit the taste. Menthol is more cooling and soothing, whereas Reds is pretty harsh and might result in sore throats for new smokers.
hope this helps.

they have different flavors, and they were designed for different people. for ex. Marlboro reds were designed for women because it was said that lipstick on the filters was unappealing so the coloured filters would help so the lipstick wouldn't be so easily seen. camels have flavors in them that normally appeal more to middle-eastern societies..... those are some differences

Sorry for rude decoding these cigarette brands.
They are different because
Marlboro - Man/Men alway remember lady/ladies because of romance only.
Camel - Can all men enjoy ladies?
Salem - Suck & Lick every men.
and many more....other brands hee hee =]]

The brand name doesn't matter--all of them are poison and a means to commit slow suicide and pollute the air endangering innocent bystanders.
