wow, i guess they have a right to ask whatever they want, but personally i wouldnt consider a place where my boyfriend wouldnt be allowed to visit. lol he has his own house its not like he would be there all the time. but if he wasnt allowed over i might as well be 15 years old liveing with my parents again lol

When I rented a room, at Ms.Clark's
Rooming House, You could only have
company in the downstairs parlor, and
no overnight guest at all. What you need
is your own apartment, not a room.

It means just what it says, No Overnight Guests..... That means no boy friends, girl friends, nothing. As a landlord myself, I have that in my clause as well, but its meant to protect me if the renters start having a lot of overnight guests. More people means more possible damage to the home, more wear and tear on the home, more utilities being used, (higher cost). I think if its once in a while, it would be no big deal, but if it becomes continuous, the landlord has the right to evict you.

They mean both. They want to rent you a room, but noone stays overnight except you . In some cases its to avoid having an extra person stay without paying, in some its a morals thing.

It means just that...no overnight guests. Someone who doesn't live there and pay rent cannot stay overnight.

both. they homeowner doesn't want anything missing & doens't want to be responsible for any inquiries to your overnight guest. its more for their protection.
