playing PeeWee, we were a bunch of loosers, a la Disney Ducks. We were fighting among ourselves during practices, in the bus and sometimes during games! Our parents were blasting our coach, wanting their kids to get more icetime etc... To make a long story short, we were always slaughtered!
... and then something happened...
We started to hate loosing, to be loosers, we started to like each other even though there was no real *talent* in the team, to hang around together, to rely on each other, to form a team...
even though we were out of our league's playoff run, we went on and won 3 provincial tournaments... The funny thing was that we were accused of cheating by teams we won against that used to play in our league.
Probably the best friendships I developed were from that year.

Playing in Bantam AA, about a third through the season we were coming up against the top team in the league (which was undefeated at the time). Many of our players were gonna be missing the game to go on some school trip so we were left with only 10 skaters and a goalie. We weren't such a great team at the time being near the bottom of the league so everyone thought we were gonna get killed. Playing with only 2 lines we were able to pull off a 6-4 win and hand the team the first loss of the season. Me and my linemate both had 5 points (i had 3g,2a he had 2g,3a). A great memory because it was our toughest game we played that season and only had 10 players.

Scoring 9 goals in one game when I was 13. Just got red hot playing our local rivals. I usually never score but I was potting breakaways, flip shots, everything.

We had back to back games,The first game I went head first into the boards and got knock out.Came back the next game.wich was the playoffs and scord a goal and the only goal.I think poeple were shock to see me on the ice the next day.

scored the game winner for my team in the state championships. it was my hat trick goal with 9.73 seconds left. all the fans rushed the ice even though the game wasn't over and i ended up getting tackled by my girlfriend.

playing with Gordie Howe in burbank. first against his team and than on his team. i got a picture with him on the ice and he signed the stick i used (which i imediately retired).
