There have been so many instances of people being declared dead and coming back to life that you can see where the idea came from. If we can still screw up with modern medicine just imagine how many people were put in coffins while still alive during the previous centuries. Many cultures do not bury their dead because of this. They leave them out to "dry" or put them on raised platforms. Many coffins in the old days had a string and bell built into the coffin in case the corpse revived. So... People do come back to life. But unless they have had head injuries they are generally not zombies.

Their is a drug that has poison from a blow fish a Nero toxin that can cause a comatose state that can mimic death at the right dosages. It can be ground into a power and blow in someones face. Their is a true story of a victim in Haiti that was pronounced dead and buried and he dug himself out of his own grave later that night. This kind of zombie is hella real and he's common for ya and you can not hide little cry cry...

Yeah, zombies are real, but not the dead kind. Just watch the movie, "The Serpent and the Rainbow" and "Zombies" on the History Channel and you'll know everything you are asking of.

Maybe you should view the movie 'Serpent and the Rainbow', and draw your own conclusion. This particular film was based on true and documented events, just ignore when it goes hollywood with the special effects.

You should come to your own conclusion, everyone here has opions, but that is all they are.

I hope you found this to be some food for thought.

The zombie stories started in a country where people were sometimes poisoned and buried alive. They would be near-death, and suffer brain damage. If they managed to dig their way out and come back to the community, they looked like hell and weren't "all there" mentally.

But there are no true zombies. When someone dies and their flesh starts to rot, they are NOT coming back.

So it's safe to go to sleep now, ha ha.

there is a certain type of voodoo practitioner that can keep people in a near-dead hypnotic state- these people can't feel pain and will do what they are told, appearing very zombie-like... that scares me enough to steer clear of voodoo

i am not sure that they are real right now, however nor am i sure that are not real. I do feel that they are very much possable, but not so much as a "living dead" sort of way but more in a medical mutation, or chemical mutation sort of way.

i have a friend who believes in zombies with all hre heart and that someday they will attack. so much so she has a plan of action for when they do. I am not into it that much but i guess its good to have a friend who knows what to do. (haha) or atleast thinks so.
