I found a tiny silver coin, substantially aged, with what apears to be the german eagle and the word kindergeld on one side. On the other side is the german oak leaves and the inscription 1 spiel geld. Help!

It's German. Translated means:

Child dollar or kid's gold (Kindergeld)
1 play dollar (speil geld)

Kindergeld translates to "children's money"
Spielgeld translates to "play money"
My guess is, you have some sort of game's play money.
