Legally, it depends on the community you live in. Here, fourteen is the legal limit. And here, the police do watch, and check out ages.
I trick or treated up to the limit, I enjoyed it, didn't think it was childish, I had fun dressing up, seeing the neighbors, and getting candy.
I'm grown up now, and I still love Halloween. I have trick or treat for the kids, and hand out good stuff, the kind of stuff I would have liked to get when I went.
These days, people spend a lot of money on Halloween, it is the second largest money spent on it holiday, Christmas being first. And adults do most of the spending, on adult activities.
So, if it is legal for you to go where you live, go. If your friends go, and have a good time, you'll be left out, and sorry you didn't. PS, what do your parents think?.

very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i replace into 13 on Halloween (I had basically grew to become 13) and that i went trick-or-treating. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i pass to be 14, and that i'm although going to pass with my cousin and a few acquaintances. very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i replace perfect right into a nerd, it fairly is an customer-friendly low priced gown- basically get some unusual teeth and low-priced un- ensed glasses, and placed on some pants and a shirt it fairly is purely too small or dorky or something. or you would be a hobo, that's what me and my cousin are doing this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, basically wearing brown bags over our heads. What have been you very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? what's so undesirable being that, or possibly you may shrink back that gown into something cool? See what you're waiting to do and reliable achievement.

No way! I'll give candy to anyone who comes to my door dressed-up. I live near a college that gets a lot of foreign exchange students and I usually find many of them trick-or-treating at my door. For them, it's usually the first time they've ever celebrated Halloween and I'm more than happy to help them enjoy the holiday.

If you are worried that people won't give you candy because you're too old and you'll be embarrassed, remember: nobody has to give it out. They give it out because they want to. Otherwise, they'd just turn off the porch light. So I doubt you'll have anyone questioning your age and the appropriateness of going trick-or-treating. And if they decide to refuse you just say "thanks anyway" and move on to the next house.

Nah, 13 is not too old. It all has to do with personal preference. I see kids way older trick or treating. I mean, I think it's cool to have at least one day of your life where you can be whoever you want to. Plus get free candy!! It's fun! Have fun sweetie, you are young only once. My kids still do it and they are older than you.

Pfft! I'm 13 and I am! Maybe I'll go with my friends!

Our girl scout troop is dressing up similar -- as the Disney Princesses! *giggle!* I have red hair, so I'm Ariel of course...

But yeah, 13 or even 14 isn't too old to dress up!

Heck no! People do it quit too young these days. You should go until you feel like it or when you're an adult. My cousins who are in their 20s still go, but they know a lot of people in their neighborhood and it makes both of them happy to see them. I'm certainly going to go this year! Some people do it for the candy, but I like to do it because it's fun and it brings the Halloween spirit!

Heck no! I love Halloween. I'm 25 and have dressed up in costume every year, since I can remember. It's my favorite holiday! I even had a baby, now she can enjoy trick or treating with mommy.
If you don't want to go door to door, is there anything going on in your town to go to instead? Our mall used to hand out candy and let you wear costumes - but no masks.

You can never be too old to have fun...ESPECIALLY on Halloween, the day when everyone from kids to adults dress up, eat candy with no regrets and get to poke fun at all the things that scare us. Please never take away what this holiday symbolizes. Halloween...it's not just for kids anymore lol.

No, 13 isn't too old to go trick or treating. No one will know how old you are (or even who you are) while you're all dressed up. Go for it and have fun!!!
