Did you know that Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea actually takes place tonight, September 12 and tomorrow, September 13? Is anyone but me reading it today to celebrate that? Pax-C

Sorry, but it is one of the worst books I have ever read. I just haven't been able to bring myself to read anything else by Hemmingway as a result. As I've always said, Rambo was the thinking man's Hemmingway.

Good call. By chance I'm reading Islands in the Stream (again), his best in my opinion.
