I think most of the dirty work was done in the Middle East, but I have no doubt it was facilitated to some degree by a small group of individuals at high levels of the US government. Definitely not masterminded by Bush (an oxymoron) as some would suggest that all "conspiracy theorists" believe, if only as an easy to debunk straw man argument.
-Handful of anomolies? Truly idiotic. If it were only a handful, this person's statement might have more meaning. But since it is a veritable buttload of things that transcend "anomoly," it clearly doesn't. Nice try at "disproving it," although what you offered constitutes no proof at all.
Anna- there are literally hundreds of professionals, including highly regarded, engineers, architects, phycisists among others, all of whom question the official theory. You have the two or three marginally qualified "experts" on the History Channel, the same couple of guys that Popular Mechanics trots out for every argument. Here's a list. Why does no one ever respond when someone brings up this massive and growing list of highly educated, qualified individuals of all political persuasions?

I think if you researched the evidence using nothing but the facts you'd come to the undeniable conclusion that 9-11 was planned and carried out by muslim extremists with a grudge against the United States. What do I think of the hypothesis that 9/11 was a United States planned attack? I think it's been disproven.
"The mistaken belief that a handful of unexplained anomalies can undermine a well-established theory lies at the heart of all conspiratorial thinking (as well as creationism, Holocaust denial and the various crank theories of physics). All the "evidence" for a 9/11 conspiracy falls under the rubric of this fallacy. Such notions are easily refuted by noting that scientific theories are not built on single facts alone but on a convergence of evidence assembled from multiple lines of inquiry." - Michael Shermer in Scientific American
Edit- I see I might have touched a nerve with certain other posters, feel free to browse the info in the sources. Note how they use actual SCIENCE and ENGINEERING to make their points, and they even reference almost all of the questions brought up by the conspiracy crowd! Guess what? The theory of evolution has anomolies. The theory of gravity has anomolies. And 9/11 has a few anomolies left. Just a handful, and at this point, relatively minor. Is that enough information?

it was a false flag attack, with more than one country's intelligence and military involved.
to wonder which simply ask: qui bono? (who gained?)
btw the issue isn't that 'steel doesn't melt' , it's that hydro-carbon fire couldn't have caused a steel-structure to collapse in the manner of WTC1, 2 and above all 7 which wasn't even hit by an aircraft.
It also suits the official version to ignore the numerous reports of explosions at WTC-- some even before the planes struck!

Did you not study that as quickly as metals are heated they grow to be malleable? You upload warmth to the different hundreds of lots it had to proceed to hold and the extreme risk of the steel beams buckling from the preliminary impression of a a number of hundred ton airplane form of provides up.

I think you really need to increase your counseling appointments to 4 or more times a week and perhaps start reading something other than what the radical liberal left puts out. It's really clouded your mind & your ability to soundly judge facts as given by engineers and many other professionals.

You really think the government could pull off something this big? You're giving them too much credit. Something smaller? sure. But not something that big. Just not competent enough to do it.

have you watched the 3'rd part in the movie Zeitgest well it shows compelling evidence that 911 was planned. Watch this movie and you'll see that it was a planned attack for the USA gov. The term is "false flag operation" i think you will want to look that up on wikepedia.
The people who call you stupid are stupid themselves they blindly beleive that Al-qaeda flew a plane into the WTC buildings from CNN and Fox news thus they accept that as truth. They think no deeper.....
