No. I hate it when people take advantage of generosity. If someone takes you some place and offers to buy you dinner don't order the combo with the extra large fries and the extra large drink and the apple pies and the shake.

Order modestly. It's likely that your friend will not think twice about helping you out in the future.

I probably would want to, but I'd most likey turn it down to not be greedy. Of course the downside is that I'd end up losing out in the name of no greed... but I imagine I'd still do so. I remember some neighborhood kids knew this man, and I got invited to go to the store to get whatever I wanted. Well the kids mostly were greedy and over did it while I was not... which means I lost out. Perhaps you'd appreciate that though... so it's a bit of a tough call. It's like if someone asked you what's something you've wanted but couldn't afford or something. Whatever it was the person would buy it, but my first question would be "Within what price range"? Even if it did not matter I'd still be on the more conservative side though I did buy something a bit more expensive. I wish I could have such with getting a brand new laptop, racing bike, and/or especially camera equipment.

If I invite some out for a meal I pay, I dont like going for a meal if I have been invited, unless it's work related.
I like to pick whatever I fancy from the menu without being restricted to cost.
This is the same reason why I try not to join a drinking school in the pub, my normal drink is pint of beer with a large vodka, if it's being bought for me I say a pint of beer, far too restricted.

depends - if you have enough money and I know it than I'd order something pretty good, but if I knew you didn't have enough money or didn't really know you that well, I'd keep it small. I usually don't order things that I don't think are worth the price either way though - I'd rather get a bargain no matter who's paying.

No. I would order just what I would order if I was paying! I am not about taking advantage of people's kindness!

No. In fact - I'd probably order less. I might splurge if I'm paying myself - but I wouldn't knowing somebody else is picking up the bill.

I would order something that's less expensive because I would feel bad if I took too much money out of someone's wallet because they decided they wanted to pay for me.
