I'm having a rough time deciding if manga is better than watching anime! I mean would you rather read it or watch it??

I think i would rather watch it, especially when there is fighting or competition or anything that is exciting.....
by watching it, it will make it more interesting.... if i want to read then i would rather read romance comics.....

Well, for me, I like to read manga and watch anime. I read fast so it would take at least 35-45 mins to finish a manga. I have no problem reading manga. Also manga are ahead of the anime and the main plot of the story.
I like to watch anime, because it has the visual for you. There background music, character's voice, and stuffs. (Also I learn more japanese). Sometimes (most) anime has unnesscesary episode; if you are one of those people who hated side episode (not based on the main story), then skip it. It takes a while for the anime to go back to the main plot of the story.
Manga and anime have bad and good things.
It mostly depend on the person.

it depends on the series and the person's personal preference. usually anime is based off and manga series and isn't as good as the original. of course there are some manga series based off anime, though i haven't seen as many. i personally like manga a lot more because the drawings are usually a lot better, and like i said, it's usually the original story. i also like being able to bring manga everywhere. it's a lot easier to stuff a book in your bag and read it somewhere than it is to watch a DVD/ file on your computer. a lot less 'work' is involved when you watch anime compared to reading manga, and i guess some people get confused by the manga format. but the soundtracks in anime are always a plus and the story can usually be told more in dept in anime. the story is usually shorter in manga, which could be a good or bad thing. (ex. one chapter could easily become one or two episodes) i might also like manga better because i like to read. *shrugs* so while i think there are some good and bad points of both manga and anime i think it all comes down to personal preference. hope this helps!!

that depends on both parts, a manga doesnt have soundtracks nor voice actors but has dialogs, are you lazy or not imaginative, or simply hates reading? anime is there for those ppl. some animes sux but their mangas are good, in some cases the anime is changed from its manga counterpart that could make it better or worse, mangas are really quite good, except that people whom hate reading dont read it, so they would watch anime. i rarely ever read manga, i only read em if i cant watch any anime or just dont have a computer and its my only option cuz im not a fan of reading, makes me sleepy

I like to watch anime more if the quality (drawing, animation work, sound etc) is good. The anime brings out the characters more through voices, musics, expressions and colours.
However, some manga enable us to relate more to what characters are thinking or feeling compared to the anime. The anime is only good if it can emulate the manga well.

It depends. Sometimes the story in the manga is different than the anime. I think that if you really like the story you should try both.

i personally would rather watch it. because voices give me a sence of who the charater is. i mean if a really macho guy has a voice like a mouse it basicly tells you hes kind or not scary. and also the other way around. colors also mean something black and white is boring (not the story) its easier to stay fosused (or distracted). dont get me wrong i like to read them its just that watching them is so much easier.

i would rather watch it....
coz it is much more convenient that way...
plus,anime is more interesting in the sense there is animation, voice and songs...

id rather read it in the shows the voices sometimes suack and they drag ever ything out
