It was 11 o'clock at night here in Australia. I turned the TV on for 30 seconds, thought i was watching a movie so turned it off and went to bed. Imagine my horror when i woke up in the morning to find it was real!!
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by that horrible day. May the days get easier as time goes on.

I was in the living room, watching the Today Show. The coverage was so confusing--no one knew what was going on. It was horrific! I woke up my hubby and told him what was happening...neither one of us could believe it.
The hardest part was going to work that morning. I was teaching grade six at the time and the kids were so confused and scared. I was happy that I was there to help them through it, but it was definitely an emotional day.
They say you'll never forget where you were....and you really don't!

I live in California, so it was only 6 here. I woke up and found my mom staring at the TV. I sat down next to her and saw the second plane hit the buildings as they were filming the first. I was scared, and confused.

I was in our old warehouse typing invoices on the computer and the phone rang so I answered it and my dad said to turn on the tv.
I thought he was joking at first when he said a plane had hit the first tower, but he wasn't.
So I did, and forgot all about what I had been doing for a while...

I worked then and I was at work cleaning a house and did not know about it until I got home later that morning.
Then I could not pull myself away from the TV.
