If you like Paramore, you'll love Meg & Dia, definitely. Their songs are based off of books, which is really cool, and they did some back up vocals for The Rocket Summer (which is another band that's pretty good). Listen to their songs "Roses" and "Monster."
The Matches is really good too. They're kind of weird, but they have some really awesome songs, like "What Katie Said" and "Salty Eyes."
Mae is also really good. They also just came out with a new album a little while ago, called Singularity, which has some good songs, like "Crazy 8s," but I prefer their previous albums. Listen to "The Everglow" and "Tisbury Lane."
Minus The Bear also just came out with a new album, called Planets Of Ice. It's really good. They have some pretty crazy song titles, one of them is called "We Are Not A Football Team," which is also a pretty good song too. Listen to "Knights" and "Drilling."
Some other bands you might like: Self Against City, Porcelain And The Tramps, Dear And The Headlights, Anberlin, Wolf Parade, Blonde Redhead, Copeland, Hidden In Plain View, Blessthefall, Interpol, and Halifax.
Hope that helps! =]

read music magazines. join online message boards for those certain bands, and other people on the fan forum will surley mention other bands that will prob appeal to you. its neat to talk to people with similar interest. and if someone suggests a band, give em a shot..you never know. for example go to google and google "my chemical romance fan forum" im sure there is one, im on one for the strokes and i love it.
