I would take the pet to a local vet or emergency vet hospital and have the pet put asleep the humane way

You need to take the mouse to a vet asap. Home Euth. is not recommended for beginners. However it sounds like either mites or an allergy - you can probably solve that problem without having to put the mouse to sleep. Remove all of the sunflower seeds, corn and peanuts from the food mix. Wait and see if it gets better. If you wait too long the mouse can become OCD and scratch just to scratch. If that happens, the mouse will need to be put to sleep.

No, the vet lives across the street from me. I would hold her in my arms and carry her to him, crying and scared, me and my pooch. I hate thinking about this.
