You can get pregnant at ANY time (on period or not, before/after your period or not) no matter WHAT contraceptive you have since NONE of them are 100% effective, INCLUDING depo.

Well, a common sense way of looking at it is to look at any type of unprotected sex as you trying to get pregnant, as many Ob-gyn's like to say. Unfortunately, not all birth controls are 100% fool-proof or effective. (coming from someone who got pregnant after religiously taking Mircette for 2+ yrs like clockwork) No need to worry though, because you were smart enough to get the morning-after pill. It is effective up to 72 hrs after the unprotected sex. That being said, it is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant if you followed the instructions and are also on the depo shot.

Remember, you need to be aware that you can get pregnant at any time of the month. It's okay to have sex on your period if you want, but you still need to use protection. The sickness you could be feeling is morning sickness along with other things about your shot. Good luck.
