I groan nearly every time I see it because it's tiring to see these endless remakes that usually fail to match the originals, even when some originals aren't that good. For me, failures include:
The Haunting
House on Haunted Hill
The Fog
When a Stranger Calls
House of Wax (to a certain degree)
13 Ghosts
There were tidbits I liked and parts I didn't mind, but I was hugely disappointed that quantities of money and time were lavished on these films. I'll choose the originals every time. Will the remakes be aired decades later? Unless TV changes even more, they'll have to be heavily edited unless the movie channels show them.
I'm prepared for disappointment by the remake and won't watch it till it shows up on HBO or some other channel. I have that little faith in it. Truly, I'd love to be surprised by it.
Of course, when the original came out, I didn't expect IT to be good. I was wrong then, and I could be wrong again.

I didn't like the original. I am interested in seeing what Rob Zombie does with it. I wasn't freaked out though.

i hate horror movies. " the hills have eyes" that one scares me, cause I lived in utah ,and we heave heard tales of people living in the hills that are that way, because of the testing that went on there.
