question for you, how can you say mtv's viewers mostly consist of white people? I think your wrong in saying that, and catagorizing MTV as a white peoples channel. has he won any BET awards?

As an African American woman I was upset by Kanye's comments. He sounded very ignorant and unprofessional. The VMA's are not picked by the staff of MTV. They are picked by the viewers. If he wants to win more VMA's then he needs to market towards the genre that MTV has. I think Kanye loves to be the center of attention and on the VMA's he was not. Ranting and raving was the way to get the camera's focused on him and steal the glory from the winners. It's sad that he's a grown man but resorts to acting like a two year old when things don't go his way.

I guess I can understand where he is coming from because I'm African American, but MTV consists of mainly non-African American viewers and it's not MTV's fault because the viewers voted for thier favorities, so if Kanye is going to blame anyone, it's the voters, but he can't do that because then they wouldn't buy his album!
I remember whenever 50 cent came out with his debut album, he won 2 MTV awards in one night, and Chamillionaire won an MTV award last year for his song Ridin, so it's not about Kanye being black.

Who votes anyway? I don't know who makes the decisions over at MTV, so I won't say that they are as much racist as they are opportunist. With that said, as much as I like Kanye, I would have to say that he is an opportunist too.
If you know that these people are not going to vote for you, because you have been passed over before, then why keep going?
I do think there is racism in the industry, but Kanye wasn't just born yesterday, he should know how to deal with the real world by now.
I think that it was awful to have him and other artist in those suites. I say this because it was hard to see their performances. They could have allowed them to perform on the main stage, because they had to fill the time slots anyway.
I thought the whole show, for the exception of Chris Brown, was awful, and poorly planned. But, who am I; I could have just turned the channel.
On the topic of MTV catering to white folks, well, I am African-American, and I enjoy watching MTV. I have to say that I am guilty of being hooked on a few of their reality shows.
I just wonder what Rev. Run and P. Diddy has to say about this? Last time I looked, they were Black.
I think, if a person really likes music, there is no color to it. There are white artist that I don't like, and there are black ones that I don't like as well. But, I do know that MTV is in it to win it; they don't care what color an artist is as long as they will draw ratings.
Does anybody think that Kanye's tirades are staged?
P.S. I love Tommy Lee; Kid Rock keep your hands to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to admit he has had some good songs but his attitude is really bad and he wonders why people dont respect him. his entire career he has complained about not getting the respect he deserves well honestly what kind of respect does he think he is going to get when he doesnt give any. he should of been the bigger man and congratulated the winners and said maybe next year. His song stronger just barely came out while on the other hand the artists who did win have had a huge year with numerous hits. I think his ego has affected him and his record sales as well.

Always gotta pull the race card. maybe we just don't like him because of his music. Now because of this we really hate him. watch him win next year though, hopefully he wont be there or even get nominated
