I am not speeding anymore ... did that while a young woman (because I HAD to be the "Man" after a short disaster of a marriage to an abusive, violent sociopath -- and when I walked away with the children, he NEVER provided for them at all -- I was their ONLY Support) and now ...
As an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree I am more likely to be the one who is at or about the limit, stopping along the way to enjoy what is around me ... whether it is something quirky/unusual on the side of the road, or just enjoying the backroads and my home .... (such a pleasure to NOT have children around anymore!)

I was on the highway....but my eighteen-year-old brother's death recently shook me up enough to push me all the way over into the slow lane. Now I'm living life moment by moment, one day at a time, and every day is a new adventure. I'm living a fuller life now, not just for me, but for my brother. I'm living for him.

yes, and I get into many wrecks along the way. then for a moment I stop to enjoy the scenery...and I am back to normal again, only for a little bit though
